Polymers has an important role in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment. They can be used in clarifier as coagulant & coagulant as well as sludge dewatering in filter press, belt press or centrifuge unit.
Coagulant is a cationic polyelectrolyte that is employed as a charge neutralization agent. It is used in the clarification of industrial fresh water and in the removal of suspended solids from wastewater. Other applications include liquid-solid and oil-water separation.
Floculant is an anionic or cationic polymers. Flocculant is very effective to precipitated suspended solid flock and provides better quality of water.
Sludge dewatering is typically the final step for industrial wastewater treatment processes and plants . The purpose of sludge dewatering is to reduce organic ingredients, as well as the volume and weight of the sludge. Sludge dewatering treatment removes odor, improves hygiene by removing pathogenic organisms and prepares sludge for further utilization or disposal.
